Women Empowerment
Transforming Lives Academy Women Empowerment Event is a celebration of strength, resilience, and the boundless potential of women. This event brings together inspiring leaders, change-makers, and visionaries to foster an environment of support, growth, community initiatives, and empowerment. Our goal is to uplift and inspire women from all walks of life, providing them with the tools, resources, and connections needed to achieve their personal and professional dreams.
We get together monthly to motivate, encourage, mentor, build, and network. Join us on the 4th Friday of every month.
WORKFORCE READINESS
Transforming Lives Academy’s Workforce Readiness Program serves as a beacon of opportunity, addressing the unique challenges of disadvantaged residents in Bolingbrook and beyond. Designed to meet the needs of the most vulnerable populations, including individuals with low income, limited work skills, and those at risk of homelessness, the program offers tailored workforce development initiatives. By investing in Employment Preparation and Placement Programs, the academy equips out-of-work or under-employed individuals with the tools to secure, retain, and advance in meaningful employment, ensuring continuous support along their journey.
Additionally, the Industry-Specific Training Program bridges the gap between job seekers and the demands of high-opportunity industries such as Hospitality, Transportation, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Office Assistance, and Information Technology. Developed in collaboration with employers, these programs provide focused training and clear pathways for career progression within each sector.
Complementing these efforts, the program includes essential workforce readiness services, such as workshops on professional attire, interviewing techniques, resume and cover letter crafting, and mentorship from industry leaders. Transforming Lives Academy also hosts an annual fundraising initiative, featuring fashion shows and makeovers, to provide participants with interview-ready clothing, shoes, and styling, ensuring their confidence matches their skills as they step into the workforce.

Services
Transforming Lives Academy (TLA) is a purpose-driven organization committed to restoring hope, dignity, and opportunity for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Through education, empowerment, and holistic support, TLA equips participants with the tools necessary to transition from crisis to stability and long-term self-sufficiency.
The Transform From Homelessness Program is TLA’s signature initiative designed to address the root causes of homelessness—not merely the symptoms. This comprehensive program provides a structured pathway that supports individuals as they move from housing insecurity to sustainable independence. Through collaboration with other organizations, Transforming Lives Academy can successfully provide participants with life-skills training, financial literacy education, workforce readiness and career development support, mental health and wellness resources, care packages, and mentorship that fosters accountability and confidence.
The Transform From Homelessness Program does more than provide resources—it restores purpose. Graduates emerge equipped to contribute to their families, workplaces, and communities, becoming examples of resilience and transformation for others facing similar challenges.
